Monday, Tuesday and ahead of myself...
The w/end flew, I got down to finishing some of those chores that get put to the back off the to do list. In my case the ironing( I loathe it) but usually make a point of not letting last weeks meld with next weeks. The garden had to have the mulch turned over and a new lot placed down to cover the winter months. I cooked up some gluten free meals for the week and made my dad an old fashioned stew (he loves them) I love the cooler weather it seems to agree with me. I have a lovely man in my life, we are friends at the moment but I feel very special, my smile has returned and my heart feels light instead of heavy. I know what is destined to be will be. But with all else that is going on in my life, I felt I wanted to share this small piece of happiness with you. Monday and my beautiful daughter and grandchildren and jack (the spoilt pooch) arrived, I have them for a whole week to spoil and love. I had forgotten how much luggage is involved , when holidaying with little ones, once settled, my mother gave them their gifts she had brought back from NZ. Nicole was given a lovely silver fern pendant, Isabella a toy penguin and Harry a kiwi (flightless bird) also she had two books which told children stories from that part of the world. My mother also gave Nics (our pet name) a book on scrapbooking ( a manual really) Nicole helped me finish off the weed mat under the rocks around the lawn and then she baked a scrumptious chocolate cake, for her children and grandparents. It was oozing with lovely chocolate icing and everyone enjoyed it.
Tuesday after a quiet morning we did the grocey shop and browsed thru the warwick second hand stores Nic got some wool at an absolute bargain price, mohair 12 skeins for $6.50 the lot and then some handwoven wool skeins for $7.00 she was really happy, then I took my treasures to the pictures to see, Shaggy dog (their choice) I thought it would give Nics time out and me some quality time with the grandchildren. They enjoyed the movie but it was just a wee bit old for them (I thought) but they behaved beautifully. Tomorrow Wednesday, nics and I are going for a drive around this city I live in and takesome photos of some of the old homes and gardens to share with you.
Till tomorrow, keep smiling.
