A Wet Sunday

It was an unusual sound to wake up to, yes it was raining.
I had decided yesterday to take my parents on a drive to a little town named Allora, you see the cattle and sheep dogs were competing in a competition and they are awsome to watch ,such control and obedience.
After our latest visitors hit the road, heading down south to their home, we headed off ,it was still raining, but I felt it was worth the effort.
Arriving just after 12md, it was a shock to see everyone packing up (maybe next time)
Instead of turning around and heading for home, we took another road up into the goomburra national park.
The scenery was typical bush Oz,but we saw an eagle perched on a fence and nextdoor to it was a fox.I had disturbed their luch .
After driving for awhile we came to the park, whiich is set up for the camper and trekker, very very nice.
On the way back home we picked some mushrooms, which I cooked up for tea, one of my dads favourite food.
The ford escape is covered in mud and looks like I have been mud bashing, so I did the lazy thing and left it out in the rain.
below are a couple of pics .

Mum and dad reading about Goomburra national Park.
Not bad for a couple of eighty year olds
This board explains about the fauna and flora and the history.
These are our Victorian visitors(either end) leaving for home saying goodbye to my parents Posted by Picasa
